ImmBioApplying the science of ImmunoBiology to Healthcare

About Us

ImmBio is a vaccine company developing the next generation of ant-infective vaccines. The portfolio addresses areas of high unmet need, where the risk and consequence of infection are severe.

ImmBio has been founded on recent advances in our understanding of how the immune system operates. In particular, the central role of the dendritic cell in conjunction with the mechanisms for generating humoral and anti-body responses leads to breakthrough opportunities in preventing and combating infection.

ImmBio has an established product and process patent estate around Heat shock protein Complexes (HspC ™) which are highly efficient in bridging between an innate and an adaptive immunological response. In addition, ImmBio has licensed in complementary technology around the delivery of antigens to dendritic cells through fusion proteins (ImmunoBodies ™) in specific applications, where this approach has clear benefits.

Having established proof of principle of the approaches in both viral and bacterial models, a product portfolio has been built, backed by a solid and broad investor base and through collaborative agreements.

ImmBio’s approach of focusing on the efficient delivery of antigens to dendritic cells has the significant benefits of:

  • Eliciting a powerful and long lasting immune response.
  • Producing a broad immune response that is specific to the chosen pathogen.
  • Providing a polyclonal immunity, effective against multiple variant strains of the pathogen.
  • Having a good safety profile, reflecting the normal route of an immune response to a pathogen.
  • Being applicable to both the prevention and management of infectious diseases.
  • Meeting current, emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, including rapid adaptation to new pathogens.

ImmBio has experienced executive and staff in its facilities in Cambridge (UK) to complement its collaborative agreements and contracts.

Building additional relations is central to the approach of fully exploiting the platform technology by rapidly developing specific products.
