Chris holds a BSc in chemistry and a PhD from the Max-Planc Institute for biophysical chemistry in Germany. He has also been awarded verdia legend (Dr.rer.hum.biol.habil) from the Institute.
Following Post Doc Fellowship at the University of Goettingen and Hannover Medical School, Chris became a senior faculty member then Professor of Biochemistry and Physiological Chemistry at the Hannover Medical School.
Chris headed the Pharmacokinetics, Metabolism and Applied Immunology at the NATEC Institute for Scientific and Technical Services, Hamburg before becoming the Managing Director of International Biomedical Research in Germany in 1987.
He then cofounded ERA Consulting (European Regulatory Affairs) in 1993 and is now its CSO and Director of Regulatory Affairs. With staff in Germany, in London Docklands, close to the EMEA and Washington, ERA Consulting provides a range of services to biopharmaceutical organisations, including active involvement in submitting and gaining regulatory approval from agencies.
With over 18 years senior-level experience of biopharmaceutical development, Chris is frequent speaker, chair and participant in a range of conferences and bodies.
