ImmBioApplying the science of ImmunoBiology to Healthcare

Platforms

ImmBio’s business is focused on the development of products which provide protection and treatment against pathogens by activating an immunological response mediated by dendritic cells. There are two complementary routes deployed to achieve this during the normal cause of infection: ImmBio has platform technology covering both.

  • Based on significant recent insights into thepivotal role of the uptake of heat shock protein complexes (hspCs) by Dendritic cells (DCs) in theimmune response to pathogens, ImmBio has developed and patented a newvaccine and therapeutic technology platform ImmBioVax™. The resultant products have:
    • Can be developed with or without prior knowledge of key pathogen antigens
    • Confer strong broad, polyclonal protection, presenting multiple antigens
    • Do not require the addition of adjuvants, as hsps stimulate an innate response and hspCs bind directly to DCs; hence able to load their cargo into normal MHC-loading pathways
    • Good safety profile
  • ImmBio has a license agreement for ImmunoBodies™ technology with ScancellLtd for certain anti-infective targets. These are antibody-antigen fusionprotein complexes which, like hspCs, stimulatethe immune system via DCs. The resultant products have:
    • Utilise a single or finite number of known antigens
    • Can be rapidly developed once a target antigen has been identified
    • Rapid manufacturing cycle time and low cost of goods
    • Utilise expression systems regulatory bodies are familiar with
    • Like hspCs, do not require adjuvants, can load antigens directly into DCs and have good safety profiles.
