ImmBio Executive Team Confirmed

ImmunoBiology Ltd (“ImmBio”) is pleased to confirm its Executive team, after completion of its Series C funding round:

·         Graham Clarke has been appointed as CEO and Board member

·         Chris Bailey is ImmBio’s Development Director

·         Camilo Colaco is the Founder & CSO

 

Graham Clarke has been on ImmBio’s Board since its formation.  He was Vice President of Marketing Operations in Strategic Product Management for SmithKline Beecham, then head of Executive Decision Support, GSK R&D and latterly led Strategic Development for GE Healthcare Biosciences (formerly Amersham plc).  Graham was a Partner in the PA Consulting Groups’ Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology practice and has worked with Wellcome, Fisons Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer.  He has a master’s degree in biophysics from Kings College, London, an MBA and is also qualified as a chartered management accountant.

 

Dr Chris Bailey started as a consultant to ImmBio and then Development Director on a part time basis before moving to full time.  Chris was responsible for all pre-clinical science at Medeva.  Dr Bailey has extensive product development experience, dealing with scientific and regulatory issues that arose in manufacturing, pre-clinical and clinical areas of the viral vaccine development with the successful pan-European approval of Hepacare, a novel Hepatitis B vaccine at Medeva prior to its acquisition by Celltech. Chris has also worked for SmithKline Beecham.  He has a PhD in genetics from the University of Cambridge.

 

Dr Camilo Colaço founded ImmBio in 1999.  Camilo was previously Director of IP for the biotechnology company Quadrant Healthcare plc, responsible for the portfolio that formed the basis of its successful IPO and full listing on the London Stock Exchange, and its acquisition by Elan Inc.  He was also responsible QH’s R&D portfolio and the IP that formed QH’s biomolecule stabilisation and delivery technology.  After gaining a PhD at NIMR, Mill Hill, Camilo was BHF-AHA Fellow, CALTECH, Pasadena, USA; ICRF Fellow at the ICRF Laboratories, London; Royal Society Fellow, EMBL, Heidelberg, Germany; and Lecturer, Clinical School, University of Cambridge.
